Thank you. I have the guides flush with the paper. The settings will not let me pick any 2-sided options with any paper size that is not US Letter. I have talked to support. They are supposed to have a tech call me for a home visit. That was Friday, I have received no phone call from support.
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure that you have the paper loaded properly with the guides up against the paper. Also try selecting flip on short edge in the duplex settings and see if that will correct the issue. If the problem continues please consider contacting your support centre again and ask to speak with someone in 2nd level support for further assistance.
I just recently purchased a WorkCentre 6505DN for my small home based planner business. I purchased this printer because it can handle small custom size paper - 95mm x171mm (3.74" x 6.74") and has auto-duplex. I have set the custom size in the settings, through Windows server properties, and on the machine itself on Tray 1. If I print one page, it prints a little smaller than I want, but is still useable.
My problem comes in when I want to print an entire calendar on 2-sided. It keeps giving me an error message saying I have conflicting settings. I have emailed Xerox directly and they have told me it can duplex on this size, but gave me no instructions on how or why I get the error, just how to set paper size and print. Does this particular printer duplex custom sheets on Tray 1 even manually? I read from the user's manual that I can do this from the manual feed slot. I don't feel like manually feeding 154 sheets through and paying for the productivity kit just to be able to sell my calendars. This printer was already a huge purchase for my new home-based business. I would like it to work out for me and not have to return it. I am on Windows 8.1 if that helps.
