Hi I have similar issue.
Pls look at https://forum.support.xerox.com/t5/Printing/WorkCentre-6515-is-not-printing-from-Windows-10-laptop/t...
To me it sounds like you have a problem with your Print Spooler or the printer setting in the registry. Personally, I'm leaning toward the registry as you stated you could not find the printer after it was uninstalled.
If you have a corrupt spooler, files in the spooler, or issues with the print registry settings, you can't always fix the issue by deleting and reinstalling the print driver as there are files and regestry settings that stay behind and can keep the same issue from appearing.
I woudl start with fist clearning out the print spooler, see if it works, and if not then move on to clearing out the registry.
Internet searches will take you to many pages on how to get this done. I suggest you backup your files before messing with the registry.
Thank you. I have done this and all settings were correct as you described. I have since removed the printer, reinstalled it (no easy task since it is not found automatically like it should be), downloaded and installed fresh drivers, and still, it won't even print a test page.
I have repeated this process a few times, even restarting the PC and still, I can't print.
BTW, I have this Xerox printer on my computer with Win 10 and I just can't figure out why it won't print.
Further advice appreciated. Thank you again.
Hi,
Most of the issues with non printing jobs and „Offline” messages are from driver settings.
First check to see if there is no job in the print queue (delete any job if exist).
Check the port to be on TCP/IP and not WSD. MS convert the port to WSD. If it is so, click right on the print driver and click on „Printer Properties”, click on „Ports” tab, click on „Add port”, select „Standard TCP/IP port” , click on „New port” and set an IP and in the next window click „Finish”.
After that click again on ''Ports'' tab click on "Configure port" and change from RAW to LPR, at the Queue name write "lp" and be sure to unchecked "LPR Byte Counting Enable" and "SNMP Status Enabled".

Hi, I have a year-old Xerox WorkCentre 6515 and have been having problems with it since Day One.
It is just 15 months old and I have only 800 impressions made and less than half of those are via printing. All others are copies or scans!
I am no expert nor novice with computers so I have tried everything I know, but there has to be a solution.
Here are details:
I have installed and reinstalled this printer multiple times the following ways:
On PC Windows 7 Pro, Windows 10 Pro
Connected via Network Ethernet, Direct Ethernet, Direct USB and Wifi.
It always installs without error warnings.
Printing, however, sometimes works for a day or weeks, then it mysteriously quits. I am the sole user of this computer and network, so it's not someone else messing with my settings.
I can print in any software and behavior is almost always the same: The print sends and then...nothing happens. No warning box, no "failed" message. You would think everything was normal. But...no print. The printer does not even start.
I have to go to the Printer settings, open the print manager window to find the print sitting in the queue. Sometimes, it is "Processing," and other times it says "Error". Sometimes, the Dell pops up a notice that the Printer is Offline (which it is not). When I look at the Print Manager to see if it is online, it is marked as being online.
Oh, if it matters, I usually have trouble cancelling the prints. That is, I can Cancel All Print Jobs and they either won't cancel, or will take a few minutes to cancel and clear the Queue, which is not normal.
Naturally, I have uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times in every normal configuration I can think of.
I cannot find anyone who has had a similar problem and posted it online.
Now...today I borrowed a Chromebook from work. It prints just fine from Google Drive on the Chromebook. Does not even need installation--it just found the wifi printer and boom! Done!
So, I thought I'd try to print from Chrome on the PC. Fail. Same issue as described above.
Now, I used to have successful prints for a while until Xerox did some sort of update probably two months ago (I don't remember when exactly) and the printer quit for good at that time.
Thank you for your help!
