Excellent, I'll just pretend then that I developed the new driver and I posted it just for you ;-)
Thank you!
New driver works correctly.
Mary
Grab the driver for Oct 1st 2014 (today).
The Apple Generic PCL or the Generic PS driver may print, but finishing options will not be reliable as they use generic code.
Create a new queue on the print installer "IP" tab, make sure it is set to "LPD Line Printer Daemon"
Host is the IP of the printer.
Queue is "lp"
Change the name to something better as it will just be the printer IP at this point.
For the Print using, choose "select printer software" ?
type "7120" to filter the results and choose the Xerox.
Please excuse the terminology, I am replying by phone and am not able to get to a mac for the exact terminology, but there is no issue with the driver. It sounds more like the hostname (If Appletalk/Bonjour is in use) or the IP address has changed, since multiple drivers are failing.
Had to update driver for WorkCentre 7210, using the Sept 17th Driver update. I am on Mac OSX 10.7.5.
Now I can not print through the IP (which I have been printing to for 2 years). I tried using the Generic PCL Postscript (by the advice of Zerox Tech Anthony) and both options mentioned above cause the printer to go on pause and error out.
When I go to system log on my mac ii says: PRINTER URI is incorrect or no longer exists.
