It's usually the positioning of the stapling resulting in this error, this you will need to configure in word when clicking print, select if using two staples and where it should staple depending on ur finisher.

Also have a look at the layout options/printing format in Office word etc.

Every time I try to print a document with from Microsoft Office 2010 to either of my two 7345 printers - with a staple - it fails with an Aborted(016-722) error.

I can print from any other non-Office application (Adobe, Gmail, etc) and staple with no problem.

My printers are hosted from a Windows 2008 R2 server running the 5.173.12.0N postscript driver (2010.06.24) for the 7345.  This is the latest version I found from the Xerox website.

All computers accessing the printer are running Windows 7 64 bit.  Every other feature works from Office documents, just not the stapling option.  Every feature works in every other application.

Has anyone else encountered this, or does anyone have a solution?
