If you expect the application to do it, you get what comes out and Xerox can't help. (But what you should have selected was Choose paper source by pdf page size, which would have changed the paper it printed on instead of resizing to fit the paper you selected.
If you do it manually in the driver it will work just fine, but you need to specify what pages are what via Special Pages.
So you set what the majority of the pages will print on in the regular way, then go to Document Options > Special Pages > Add Exceptions and program the pages that are not the majority, ala:
The driver doesn't have any idea what is in the actual job content wise, so you need to specify exactly what goes where.
