So what is the actual stock weight/type and what are you programming it as on the printer when you load it?

WorkCentre 7830: Smudges/Streaks on paper when using gloss or silk - any ideas?

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I am using a WorkCentre 7830 and am printing a poster onto SRA3 paper. I have used gloss and silk, at 250 and 115 gsm, but am getting streaks or smudges of mainly black around some of the edges and near text. On plain standard paper it's fine, but we want to print the posters on thicker glossier paper. I have cleaned the printhead lenses as suggested here: http://www.xerographicsupply.com/833.html?m10:post=i-am-getting-streaks-on-my-prints-copies-on-my-wo... but still get the same marks. I have tried to take photos of the marks but my phone camera isn't picking them up very well so colours have been adjusted to make them appear more prominent, though they are still not 'that' clear. I am choosing glossy cardstock and the correct gsm raneg on the printer, but this doesn't help either.

Any help would be very much appreciated. I am very new to this printer, and printing in general, so there may be something obvious I am missing, I hope!

many thanks for any help
