I've got 6 Windows 10 boxes, 3 are x86, and 3 are x64. The only way I can make mine do what yous is doing is to use the Class (or v4 driver) and or use a WSD port.
In no way can I make any computer send secure print jobs that release separately using a V3 driver with a Standard TCP/IP port because the machine in both cases sees the same user as the submitter.
I can do it with a WSD port because with those, the submitter is not known to the printer, so the jobs don't release together.
You will need to call Xerox and probably a Wireshark trace of the jobs coming in from the working and non-working PC's so they can diagnose why yours behave differently than anyone elses.
The printer itself can do the trace, so you don't need to know how to do that, Xerox 2nd level support can just walk you through it.
Dear Joe,
Thank you for your reply.
I've actually removed manually all the drivers using this method:
Then, reinstalled the exactly same driver that I've used for the other computers, but still happens the same...
In the printer, the docs go to the tab "Unidentified Protected Docs" (something like this, I'm translating).
Best regards,
Simão
Install the same driver the same way to get the same result.
If you are on Windows 10 and pick the driver from a list you end up with a WSD port and a Class driver.
If you are comparing to Windows 7, you would have a V3 driver and a Standard TCP/IP port.
The Windows 7 method is the same one you should follow on Windows 10
Hi,
We have a WorkCentre 7835 in our workplace. With all the computers but one, the Secure Print works fine. Usually, if I need, for example, to print 3 different docs, I set the password on the printer definitions. Then, on the printer, I only input the password once and the 3 docs will print.
With this computer, I have to manually input the password 3 times - one for each doc.
Can anyone help me?
I've already removed the printer and added it again to the Windows (10, by the way).
Thank you,
Simao
