Depends on if you bought from Xerox or a third party, as well as the country.
Thanks for the information.
This printer was just purchased at the beginning of January of this year and should still be covered under the manufacturers warranty.
What do I need to do to submit a warranty claim?
The paper tray (likely the guides) is broken or a gear slipped. If you can't repair or replace the tray you will be stuck using the bypass tray.
The tray shows as full until it prints a page and then it displays the following error. Pulling the tray and placing it back into the printer results in the same page printing again and then report "Load Tray" again on the screen. This cycle will repeat until the job is cancelled.
It does not matter if the print job is sent from a computer on the network or if one of the information pages is printed directly from the menu on the printer.
A single page is printed and then it reports that the correct paper size is not available in the tray.
Does CWIS show the tray as empty? It sounds like the tray lift is broken.
Now if you print a one page job it could be a banner page problem, but if a 3 page job only prints one page and then prompts that wont be an avenue worth troubleshooting.
Does it also happen on copies?
To further add to the information above, it only prints a single page before it reports that Tray 1 needs to be loaded.
I have a new Work Center 6505 DN that is displaying "Load Tray 1" after every print job. Both sent from a computer on the network and when printing a system report from the machine itself.
I have tried:
* printing from multiple computers
* adjusting the page alignment settings within the tray
* completely removed the tray and resetting all paper within the tray
* Rebooting the unit.
