Back in the olden days, if you upgraded from an 071 firmware, to an 072 firmware, and had your system timeout as more than 30 minutes, and did not do an Altboot with no data backup to get to an 072 release, this did occur.
In those times, we confirmed that if you looked on the machine, Energy saver said 30 minutes (maximum allowed), but the Configuration reports printed from those machines would say something much more, usually 4 hours (240 minutes, which was the maximum in 071)
This was always fixed by having a technician do an Altboot, no data backup, no clone
This would entirely wipe the device, and since there was no clone file used, the issue wouldn't get put back on.
It has been quite a while since I have come across the issue, it may be fixable now using the tool installer to just go straight to the latest version of firmware with no data loss. And if your scenario is different, it still can't hurt to update, so grab the tool from here and double click the download to run it and follow the wizard. After it completes, if the issue is resolved, or if it isn't, come back here and mark this post as the solution, or in a nice way, tell me I failed to resolve it, and we will dig a bit deeper.
