I have a 3325.
Using Windows 10.
Has worked for months just fine (printing wirelessly), but for some reason, we can only print via ethernet.
Deleted print driver and re-installed Global Print Driver.
The IP address starts with 169
Never had this much trouble. Maybe I'm missing something.
An IP that starts with 169 is incorrect, it means the printer is set to DHCP, but the DHCP server is not assigning the address, so it goes to the fallback 169 address (Source here)
So if that is the case, and you can plug in a Wired connection and all is well (IP probably then starts with 192 or 10) then the issue is the printer is not properly connecting to the WiFi router.
So set it up to connect to WiFi again, it clearly stopped working
Thanks, but do we have to change the IP address? If so, how?
Or, maybe the network settings on the machine are incorrect?
It's DHCP so you should not have to actually set anything, you just need to redo the Wifi Connection itself to get it on the LAN properly to get the IP assigned from the router
Joe,
Please tell us how to redo Wifi connection. The machine says wireless is "on". The blue light is on. Wireless, under Properties in the 169 IP address says we are connected to our router.
I configured at the machine.
Followed all the steps.
It said, "connected" on the machine.
Attempted to print.
Nothing.
I tried re-installing the Global Print Driver, and it will not even "discover" the printer. Even thought it is connected to our router.
Ad-Hoc is highly unlikely to be right, but if it is, you will need your network admins to give you the right info for the printer to use since DHCP won't exist in an Ad-Hoc LAN.
Just run the Wizard
