Thanks Rui, yes, I agree. I used to network it with ethernet and an IP address and never had any problem. Thought I'd try the USB port and it seems to be working now. Using USB you loose the ability to bring up the config screen on a browser. I think I'm going back to IP. Thanks again Rui..

Please check if you have the latest firmware version. Any way, could be because the printer is cutting the power on the USB, so the PC can not send the job. If your PC has a network port, I recommend you buy a crossover cable and connect both. You will get better results.

I have my Workcentre 5225 connected to my PC via the USB port. When the printer goes into power-save mode you cannot wake it up by sending a print job to it. The print job just sits in the cue waiting for the printer.
Does anyone know what is causing this?
