Hello,
I face exacly the same problem with my Werox Workcenter 6105.
I hope some guidelines could be provided,
King regards,
Nicolas
Thanks for the reply.
It's not program specific, but the printer seems to be doing something wrong with pure black vector and text(font, thus vector ).
Eg: A big letter "A" in a JPEG gets printed as expected if you selecr "color mode" printing. If you try to print a big "A" from eg Word, Corel Draw, etc ( vector ), the print is light and no developer is applied to the printed area.
Another interesting fact: If I create a box and fill it with black to white gradient and print it in Color mode, the print comes out fine, decent gradient with the developer applied.
Rule of thumb: Any pixel art is printed correctly. Black vectors are printed light gray and without the developer.
Better explanation:
The first 3 pictures are pages created using inkscape and exported as PDF, then printed in "color mode".
The first print with 2 black boxes:
The top box is a pixel art ( image created in paint, then copied into inkscape ) and the bottom one is a simple vector black box.
The next 2 prints ( 2 CMYK boxes ) :
The top box is a pixel art ( image created in paint, then copied into inkscape ) and the bottom one is 4 vector boxes created in inkscape .
Just in case you don't know inkscape, it is a free ( open source ) vector graphics drawing program, similar to corel draw or inDesign.
The last picture is a closeup of the page of the photo below.
It is a page created in word, with the logo image imported ant the rest is simple text ( interpreted as vectors by the printer, thus, the black text has the same messed quality as the black on the bottom boxes of the previous pictures.
Check how "True Black" is the black color in the logo image and the "The printer is being tested black" sentence is a light black and without the developer applied. The C M and Y sentences are fine, good, true colors with the developer applied.
Sorry, I don't fully understand when it messes up.
Is it a specific type of file from a specific program?
Hi
My Workcentre 6015 NI is printing drawings/photos OK, but black vectors/text are faint.
It's as if the developer don't "kick in" when I print black. I remember it used to print bright black before.
Another point: Printing system information page comes out blank.
What could be wrong with my printer? What can I do? I've already tried many things...
Black print ( Color mode )
CMYK Print
CMYK Print - closeup - bright prin - developer OK on CMY
CMYK Text test : check that yellow bright print reflecting on phone's flash.
