Following up with this issue. Our organization just bought few 6515's and one of them just printed pages with grey backgroud on it, same as the OP. One page has full page grey tone on top of the actual document while other pages; while other pages only printed with partial page grey tone on it. Please let me know what would be the possible cause and troubleshooting steps to mitigate this issue.
In the previous example it was just a few lines og grey, but sometimes it is half a page or a complete page with a grey background. Her you can see part of the page greyed out.
Hi Droes,
My comment was meant to imply that dirt in the machine can cause static and xerographic anomalies could occur that would print the background.
An image sample may help someone recognize it.
Can you scan or take a photo of the image and attach it to a message here?
That icon is available from the reply message dialog shown below:
The greyness in the background is no smudge or dirt, it is smooth as if it was meant to be a fill-up or highlighting of a paragraph. The problem is usually triggered when highlighting or fill-up occurs in a document that is being printed. In such a case the following page that is printed also shows the grey background.
Hi Droes,
Thank you for using the Xerox forum.
Intermittent background can often be a symptom of dirt or contamination inside the machine.
I would suggest that you review the following solution for.

My Workcentre 6015 randomly prints a grey background on some pages. Sometimes It is just a part of the page or a few lines, sometimes it is the complete page. There is no lack of toner in the cartridges. Could anyone advise on how to solve this annoying problem? Thank you.
