Re: Workcentre 6605 speed

This sounds like you are describing the spool at the application/OS level.

Since it is Powerpoint and Acrobat and takes a long time I am assuming you have pictures/graphics in it.

If you are creating the documents, don't drag and drop pictures, be certain you "Import" them so that they are formatted correctly (Drag and drop keeps their own DPI settings, so you have a 300 DPI picture downscaled digital to fit inside a 72DPI pdf, the spooler needs to reconvert this)

Try saving it as a PDF/x (Standard for printing)

Would it be possible for you to upload these files so we can look into the root cause? Thanks!

Workcentre 6605 speed

Product Name: WorkCentre 6605

Hi,

I have 6605 here which has problems printing PDF and Powerpoint. I takes 1.5 hour to print these files. I found out that these have an incrdible size once they and up in the print queue and start spooling (up to 103mb). Do you guys have any tips on how to speed this up? ( Print as image in PDF does work better).

And does anyone of you know the maximum  kb/sec this machine can do?

Many thanks
