UPDATE: I've edited this original post because I have narrowed down what the issue seems to be.
I have a Workcentre 6605dnw. It is connected wirelessly to our router. When I try to print this webpage - http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2015/11/gut-microbes-give-anticancer-treatments-boost - from my iPhone or iPad the printer will crash and then come up with 'Controller Error 116-324' requiring me to switch the printer on/off.
I was having the same problem printing that webpage on my Macbook too BUT after I updated the driver to the latest one on the Xerox website (v 3.90.0_1788) it fixed the issue. So I've concluded that it must be a problem with Airprint drivers on ios iphone and ipad.
I am runinng the latest version of ios 10.2 on both my iphone and ipad.
Is there any way to change the driver on the iphone/ipad to see if it will fix the issue?

Not through Xerox, the protocol and the driver are 100% Apple. All Xerox does is give the option to enable a feature.
