Workcentre 7232 and Mac OSX (UserID -> PCL)

Upon re-reading your initial post, it actually sounds like you do have the PS Kit. Normally you'd get a different error if you had no PS-kit.

If you're getting the error reports saying Bad Account ID, you need to create a Preset for accounting on the Mac in the Print Dialog. I wouldn't normally link to non-xerox pages, but this is an EXCELLENT guide and I really cannot take credit.

Macs have never been able to print with a PCL language, they are 100% PS, so many times a sales rep will ask if you use macs when selling a machine (To ensure the proper options get enabled). Fixing this is simply a matter of having a PS Interpreter installed on your machine.

Many customers use this machine for office printing, and only need PCL/PCL6 Languages, so we offer this to better suit their needs. For customers such as yourself, you require a bit more robust print engine, and simply need to get the PS Addon.

I had previous bad experience with Xerox (same unconsideration than Samsung about Mac user), that won't help.

that error code is indeed related to auditron  / not entered the correct code

but you cant use PCL drivers on mac, you need to have the PS optional kit onboard, otherwise it wont work...

Hello,

We have a WorkCentre 7232 at the office that work using credential (UserID is required) and i'm in charge to connect to it 4 Mac 10.5.x.

I have uploaded the drivers to find out that it will only work if Postcript module is installed.

As it is not the case, i have to use PCL6 or PCL5c. (http://www.office.xerox.com/latest/W42SS-01.PDF)

I have installed and test (get an error 016-757 = The entered password is wrong.) but there is no dialog i couldn't find o enter the UserID using PCL drivers on Mac.

I'm starting to get a little upse.

Things should go more smoothly especially if the printer box says "Mac Compatible" !

As anyone a lead that can help to solve my issue ?
