Re: Workcentre 7232 driver for Mac OSX 10.6.6?

Actually the error code is correct.

The problem is with the driver: if I set the user id in the Xerox Features/Advanced/Accounting tab to "tieronecolour" the driver sends the user id "imoraru" to the printer. "imoraru" is my logged in user id on the mac.

The printer has the following accounts setup:

- "tieronecolour"

- "tierone"

There is no "imoraru" account on the printer.

As I mentioned before, if I set the account to "tierone", the driver sends "tierone" as the user id to the printer and it's printing (as long as the printout is B&W as this account is not allowed to use colour).

The windows drivers don't have this issues.

I can see jobs on the printer with both "tierone" and "tieronecolour" coming from Windows machines.

Re: Workcentre 7232 driver for Mac OSX 10.6.6?

Hi imoraru,

I looked up the 016-757 fault code and it is a, "Jobs Do Not Print, Invalid User, Account is Not Registered" fault.  It would appear that you do not have an account set up for the "tieronecolour" like you do for "tierone" which may be the issue.

Re: Workcentre 7232 driver for Mac OSX 10.6.6?

What are my options going forward? Is there a way I can create a ticket for this issue?

Any chance somebody will look into this and get a fix.

Please advise.

TIA.

Re: Workcentre 7232 driver for Mac OSX 10.6.6?

We're getting closer: I can see the features now in all applications.

I still have issues with the accounting settings.

In order to print I have to send the user id of 'tierone' for B&W printing and 'tieronecolour' for colour printing.

When I set the colour to B&W and the user to 'tierone' everything is fine and I can print my document. The job status shows the owner as 'tierone'.

When I set the colour to automatic and the user to 'tieronecolour' I can't print. The printer displays an error status of 016-757. The job status shows the owner as 'imoraru' which is my user id on my mac.

Re: Workcentre 7232 driver for Mac OSX 10.6.6?

maybe you can try this one , xerox released a new universal driver , i am not sure if the 7232 is supported , but you can try , this one is released this month...

If the device isnt detected by the wizard , just let it finish, you can then install manually a printer and use the ppd from the 74xx range for example , that should also work,,,

No luck. I have installed the new driver but it behaves the same as the old one.

The only difference I see between the new driver and the one I had before is that the installer is different.

Workcentre 7232 driver for Mac OSX 10.6.6?

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Is there an updated version of the driver for the Workcentre 7232 for OSX 10.6.6?

I am using driver version 1.1 on OSX 10.6.6.

I can't bring up the Xerox specific functions and the accounting functions. They're crossed out and if I choose them a message stating that 'The bundle Xerox WorkCentre 7232_7242 could not be loaded because it does not contain a version for the current architecture' shows up. This is happening in Mail and Safari.

For some other applications where the functions show up, like Word and Adobe, the accounting function does not send the appropriate information to the printer. It sends my mac user id instead of the user id defined in the accounting tab. For this reason I can't print in colour.

Where could I find a fix?

TIA.
