Try this:
After selecting Print, click on the Paper Type/Quality tab, then click on Color and select grayscale. If that does not work you might need to reinstall the driver.

in CUPS you will need to go to Printers and from there selecting the correct printer you wish to edit/change settings.
Go to Administration -> Set default options, from here you can change the default option to black and white, usually helps.

We are using several Workentre 7535 in the Network.
My Problem is, that I cannot print b/w, I can just print colored, doesn't matter how I setup the Settings at my Mac (Mavericks 10.9.3). So if I define to print in b/w, the output at the Printer is colored.. Even if I want to print a b/w- page, the counter says it is colored.
I am using Driver Version 3.16.
Any ideas to solve this problem?
