I searched our knowledge-base for that issue and found that you may need to perform a software reset, the THE STEPS ARE LOCATED HERE. 

If that doesn't work, you may need to engage support for futher troubleshooting. The support options for your device are listed HERE.

Workcentre doesn't believe me that envelope tray is closed

Product Name: WorkCentre 5945i/5955i
Operating System: Windows 7

Hello. Tray 2 Envelope tray is not working properly. WorkCentre 5945i is telling me to close tray 2 envelope tray. So I open and close tray 2 but the tray doesn't lift, and machine doesn't believe me that it is closed. If I open and close tray 2 repeatedly, if I get lucky it will lift and accept that it is closed. But this may take up to 50 times to get it. There is nothing stuck behind the tray and repairman installed a new sensor, but problem persists. If I swap nonenvelope tray 1 for tray 2, it will lift 1st time so I thought something was wrong with the envelope tray. So I ordered new envelope tray, but the warehouse cancelled the order because they said they don't have them/make them anymore. How to fix this problem?
