Re: XES TCP/IP port creation in Windows 7

Well, It been a while...

In Windows 7, go to "Devices and Printers". Then right click on the printer in question and select "Printer Properties".

Now you should see a number of tabs across the top. Select "Ports".

There should be a checkmark beside the port that is being used... Select "Configure Port...".

On this screen, in the middle there is a section called "Raw Settings". By default the port number is 9100. Change this to 2000.

John

Re: XES TCP/IP port creation in Windows 7

Hello,

Depending on the age of your 8825 the port is either 9100 (this is the standard) or port 2000.

When you create the printer, select "Standard TCP/IP Port". On the screen that says "Additional Port information required" select "Custom" and "Settings". Be sure that the Protocol is "RAW" and Port number is "2000".

Try setting the printer up to print to port 2000.

Regards,

John
