As I have stated in every post, "We are using a workstation customization object for the 3610 in the device configuration on the AS/400."
That object comes from the Xerox customization library. It does not work.
Thank you, Xerox official support. The suggestion Xerox Customization Library is helpful.
We are using a workstation customization object for the 3610 in the device configuration on the AS/400.
There are not any explicit overrides to any specific trays in any of the programs on the AS/400.
I simply need the job to go to the Xerox 3610 and print from whichever tray has paper in it.
All of the trays should have the same paper in them.
The Tray Priority is set-up on the printer as follows:
1st Priority: | *Tray 1 |
2nd Priority: | *Tray 2 |
3rd Priority: | *Tray 3 |
4th Priority: | *Tray 4 |
5th Priority: | *Bypass Tray |
thanks
You are not using the Xerox Customization library? It would make it much simpler.
Typically any time a Xerox device is told to use a tray it will only use that tray (Otherwise why specify it at all)
So to get auto tray switching you tell it a size and or type (Plain Letter) and it will send the job to the device and the device chooses the tray order via Tray Priority (Menu > Tray Settings at the device)
We have a fairly new Xerox Phaser 3610 with 4 paper trays. None of the AS400 jobs will use anything but Tray #1. There are no overrides on the printer file causing this. Why won't the print jobs jump to another tray when Tray #1 runs out of paper? We are using a customization driver for the 3610 in the device configuration on the AS400. Any help is greatly appreciated.
