Xerox 4150 Printing Problem

 

Got a Xerox WorkCentre 4150 here, and there is a "Unknown" job that is displayed in the Queue on the printer. However I cannot remove or delete this job at all. I have also logged into the printer from it's IP address to access the internet services, and cannot remove it from there either. Anyone experience this on this printer type before?

Hello msmithjr1375,

 

Can you tell if the "Unknown" job in the queue has a .XST file extension on it?  If it does, this may be the issue.  A .XST file is a Job Log file that is created on Scan to File (Network Scanning) jobs.  This Job Log file can be turned off to avoid this issue.  If the job in the job queue has a different file extension then please perform the following:

 

  • Press the [Job Status] button on the Control Panel. The Incomplete Printing Jobs screen will be displayed.
  • Select the "Unknown" job in the queue on the Touch Screen. The Progress of the Job screen will be displayed. 
  • Select [Details]. A list of problem items stating what the machine is looking for will be displayed. For example, "Paper Size" would indicate there is a problem / conflict with the paper size.
  •  

    Following the above steps will tell you what the printer is looking for to complete this job. Once you know what is needed, you should be able to resolve the problem.
