yes, mac works with templates , you can create templates according to your settings

or you can change the ppd file

or you can ask your it guy to change the cups on each mac by going to the localhost interface of your mac

Hi there,

we are using a Xerox 550 Color to print. Everything works fine. I was just wondering if there is a way to define the printer settings on a Mac OsX client so that the client's defaults to print are always duplex, unless he changes it?

This to avoid that they forget to do so when using very large documents.

So basically, when that specific client pressed "print", the document will print duplex automatically.
