Hello, you have options with regard to how the machine handles an out of staples job.
log in to the device as admin (login/out) admin and 1111 are your default user name and password.
press machine status, then tools - under device settings select output options and out of staples option. your choices are complete job without stapling or fault hold job.
then press save, close and log out.
I hope you find this information useful.
I work for a university and we have several Xerox WorkCentre 5755 printers with finishers attached to them. These finishers provide stapling options to our students. Unfortunately, sometimes we do not get the required resources to keep the stapling option functional. When our students then try to use the stapling option, the printers will hold their job with the status, "Held- resources not available." My question is, is there anyway to force these held jobs to print without stapling, or do we need to simply delete the held jobs and tell our students to reprint them without staples? The latter option poses some problems since we use PaperCut to track our students printing usage. This would require an extra step of refunding every person who is effected by this stapling issue each time it occurs.
