Re: Xerox 6505 Regular Magenta Spot

Assuming there isn't an issue where a developer is dropping magenta onto the imaging unit still, and that it is just a contaminant. You should be able to vacuum it off or wipe with a very soft dry rag.

Xerox 6505 Regular Magenta Spot

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi,

I have a Xerox WorkCentre 6505.  The printer randomly started printing a large vertical band in all printouts.  We replaced the Magenta toner cartridge and printed a few monochrome pages which appeared to clear the band.  We are now left with a regular magenta spot shown in the image below.  I've also attached a picture of the imaging unit and trasfer unit which have deposits of magenta toner.  Is it possbile to clean this off the imaging unit?  If not, would replacing the imaging unit clear the deposit from the transfer unit?

Thanks
