Thank you soooo much! It really works. I have used GutenPrint Driver and it prints even in color.
It is possible to print using GutenPrint PCL drivers, it just isn't supported officially. See this post for the how, just replace BW with color in the case of the 72XX.
Anything beyond Duplex should not be expected to be in the driver.
Has not been resolved. I've never been able to get it to work either. By researching. I found that there is an "Extended Module" you have to purchase in order for this to work. We've since switched to Ricoh printers. So I just use my other PC to print to the Xerox thats down in our office.
Hi,
I would like to know whether this issue has been solved or not. Cause I have the same issue with MAC OS and Xerox 7225. It could print either b&w or postscript error. Any kind of help is highly appreciated. Thanks!
PostScript is optional on Xerox WorkCentre 7225.
Mac printer drivers for that model are only PostScript, that is, you cannot normally print from Mac.
The only way you can print is using the Generic OS X PCL driver, but with very limited capabilities. You can print duplex and only Black and White. You cannot use any advanced features available on the WorkCentre 7225.
Im trying to install a Xerox WorkCentre 7225 on a Mac computer OS 10.5. I've downloaded the drivers from Xerox's website. Everytime I try to print anything I get "The job was not printed because the PostScript option is not enabled." Ive tried everything I know to try and get around this. Maybe someone can help....Ive installed this printer on a Windows machine and all I do is uncheck the postscript box when installing and choose PCL but the Mac software does not give me that option when installing the driver. Any help would be apprectiated. Thank you!!
