Tray 5 is the bypass tray on the side of the printer. I searched our knowledge base and found this article that may assist you with fixing the issue. If you are still having issues after trying these steps, I suggest that you call into our support department for assistance @ 1-800-821-2797.

We are continually receiving 'Out of Paper' messages on our Xerox 7225. Trays 1-4 all contain paper; it shows "Tray 5" as empty, and as a result, refuses to print. Our copier does not have a "Tray 5," at least not clearly marked as such on the front of the machine.
Additionally, no matter how many times we set the defaults to 8.5 x 11, the machine switches to legal size.
Note: we have updated the drivers. The above problems remain.
