Can someone direct me to the installation guide for this? Or let me know how to remove the error message if this yellow developer powder is not necessary. I tried shaking the yellow toner cartidge as described in the previous post, but the error message remains.
Thanks for your help.
Hi, did you ever find an engineer to fix this problem? the developer powder?
Hi,
We struggled to find an engineer to do this for us. It is definitely an engineer job as it not a user servicable part. Basically they have to take apart the printer to access the tray deep inside where this developer powder is housed. It is a magnetic powder so you have to be really careful with it. I spent weeks trying to find instructions but there are none available. We did have our cyan powder changed when the mahcine was under warranty and it looked a lengthly job unfortunately. I wish i had memorised what they did!
Sorry i cant help, and perhaps if you have any luck finding an engineer to help you could l us know?
Thanks.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. No you can not replace the powder . You can remove the yellow toner unit and gentle shake it to see if that frees up the toner. Replace the toner cartridge. If this does not clear up the line then please contact your local support centre to have service come out and to discuss costs.
Hi,
I think we have clumping of the powder in the yellow developer unit of our 7800 - a pale white line running along the yellow output. Can we replace this powder (looks to be about £75 online). or where do we find an engineer to do it? do xerox offer a fixed price repair?
We've done all the lense cleaning routines.
Thank you in advance,
Mike
