Xerox 7835P is Intermittently asking for login code when printing from one laptop.

For sure it is a driver issue. Try to use V3 PS driver.

I get the same printer preferences screen when I pull it up on our desktop but I don't get the same tabs, etc. when using printer preferences on the laptop.  I wonder if this is a driver issue, rights issue or something else?

Check the settings on the print driver on that laptop to be on Normal Print and not on Secure Print like in the picture below:
