Hey!
I would guess that it was third party ink yes.
Though if you have removed all the ink, do an "advanced eliminate light stripes procedure" on the machine.
Restart the machine, and let it finish its own startup cleaning first.
Try following THIS link.
And clean the maintanence kit, maybe also replace it.
Hope it helps
Thanks!
Hi there,
No, only because we have used up the ink. That was my inclination when my assistant had told me there was a problem with our print work. Could it be that it was from a third party?
Thanks!
Heya!
My first question is, have you removed the third party ink?
Thanks!
Hi,
We purchased our Xerox 8570D almost a year ago, and it hasn't given us any problems. This time around, we recently switched out the Extended Maintenance Kit and new ink. We usually print between 500-1000 sheets, haven't reached the maximum of our 10,000 sheets per the warranty that I was reviewing. We have been printing in much higher volume as of late, and have changed, yet another Maintenance Kit. I have also purchased ink from a third party vendor, which claimed that the ink we are purchasing is "as good" as the OEM ink stick that we order through Xerox. So we gave them a try. Upon the first few usage, printing the paper was at ease. But gradually, it seemed to ween off it's great work for printing our CNA/PNA's that we had to send out to our clients. I was noticing that the ink seemed to be "melting" at a much greater rate because it keeps stating that we needed to clean the printer. I have ran numerous Print Cleaning solutions that has been provided with the manuals, and it hasn't helped since. I also cleaned the inside of the printer, and the only thing that is exposing on the printer paper is the light vertical lines going up and down just one side of the paper. (This is after me cleaning inside of the printer)
I have also noticed that the Maintenance Kit is much more covered in ink blots. Maybe this is the reason for this occurrence of the lines?
Please advise. I have done everything, including calling my tech representative from the vendor we had purchased the printer from, and he was not much help at all.
Thank you!
