Re: Xerox Altalink C8000 Color Accuracy Issues

I think so yes. When you go to the drivers page, click windows 10 x64 in the dropdown.

The driver i installed locally on the PC (it wouldnt install on the 2008 print server) was the one listed in there as - Xerox Print Driver Installer.

Date: May 1, 2017
Version: 6.242.9.0
Size: 5.6 MB
Format: EXE
Package-AwareV4 DriverWHQL

Hope this helps you.

Re: Xerox Altalink C8000 Color Accuracy Issues

Just curious. When you say Windows 10 Xerox print driver, are you talking about their V4 PostScript driver? All of our print servers too are Windows 2008 R2 currently. Thanks.

Re: Xerox Altalink C8000 Color Accuracy Issues

Yep sounds exactly like my issue. I've had a few people print some reports (with pictures) that just looked awful even on highest resolution.

I managed to get a decent print using the windows 10 xerox print driver, it came out as expected, so the copier is fine.

The problem with the Xerox print driver is that there isnt a version available for Windows 7/Server 2008, I still have a few machines on Win7 that I'm unabled to update at present. The printer server is 2008 also.

For a brand new copier this is very disappointing. The 7855 was perfect!

Re: Xerox Altalink C8000 Color Accuracy Issues

Not really. We updated our C8070 to firmware 100.003.097.22500 and the latest publicly available UPD PS version. Using High Resolution for Print Quality under Printing Options and LCD Display for Color Correction under Image Options has produced the most favorable results although Cyan is now washed out looking but at least not dark blue. Magenta is finally mostly magenta and not dark red which is good but these results are not sufficient for most users and we are receiving more and more complaints from them. It's odd to me that the colors are so far off by default as if we don't make any changes to the device/driver for 2 other device manufacturers here, print outs are largely accurate using PCL or PS drivers.

Re: Xerox Altalink C8000 Color Accuracy Issues

Has the been sorted yet? I'm having the same issue with the PCL and PS drivers.

Our 8055 has firmware 100.002.057.09603 which appears to be the latest version according to Xerox.website

Re: Xerox Altalink C8000 Color Accuracy Issues

It's a known issue, it will be fixed in firmware, and may have been already. I simply have not had the time to test it.

If you want to test it yourself, send me a PM and I will give you access to the FTP server with the latest spar firmware that can't be obtained anywhere else due to Xerox.com being broken.

Or wait until Xerox.com is fixed, make a post here in your own thread and I will post the link to it (I am way too busy to remember to come back and do it on my own).

Xerox Altalink C8000 Color Accuracy Issues

Product Name: AltaLink C8030 / C8035 / C8045 / C8055 / C8070 Color Multifunction Printer

Wondering if anyone has Altalink C8000 series devices and found any settings/configurations that make color accuracy acceptable. We've tried almost every setting possible on the print queue as well as applications like PhotoShop to no avail. We're basically trying to have Cyan and Magenta print more accurate as Yellow and Black seem "ok" at least. Cyan is turning out dark blue and magenta is turning dark red. Gray's also have pinkish tones across the board. We're printing as far as we know a true CMYK sample file. Printing this as a jpg or pdf to a HP device (PCL or PS) with no changes prints about 95% accurate. We have tried the UPD PCL and PS drivers as well as the model specific PS driver so far.

We have a ticket into support already but hoping someone out there might have some suggestions or something they found. Thanks!
