Colour has messed up on my machine even though i havent changed anything since last week when i installed the GPD.
Not very happy, spent ages today messing about with drivers etc.
Xerox what is happening?
yes, color is a mess right now
i installed the 25400 release, and had the inverted issues, but resolved by doing the calibration again
but dont have the problem that the prints are not coming through
It looks like the firmware has been taken offline until tonight. I will try when it comes back.
Has anyone reported any issues with Print jobs not getting to the printer? the only way to get them to come through is by restarting the device. I'm contemplating rebuilding the print server but its worked perfectly for years on our old machines.
Really not like the C8000 series so far, i would advise anyone thinking of upgrading to this device to wait until they sort the issues out. I've had nothing but problems with it.
there is also a new GPD out 5.548.8.2, does it also makes a difference? dont have the rls notes yet, probably you have it :)
Alright all, let's try again, new firmware, new color fixes, no guarantee since I simply don't have time to test properly myself.
100.xxx.097.25400 releases.
Spent half an hour on the phone to Xerox... It seems the v3 Global print driver post script for Win 7 / Servoer 2008 seems to work. Not perfect but far superior than the other drivers. It will do for now.
Hopefully Xerox sort the other drivers as i really dont like the Global drivers.
Interesting find. We aren't in a position to be able to use V4 drivers so I hope Xerox can correct whatever the problem is in the V3 version. Thanks for the info.
Ok so i think I've got to the bottom of it.
The V4 drivers which are designed for Windows 8.1 and above (inc server 2012 and above) they work as expected, the image quality and colours are great.
The V3 drivers used for Windows 7 and Server 2008 do not work, the image quality and colours are terrible.
I dont think the drivers are broke, it must be how the printer interprets the data.
Not sure what to do now, raising a ticket with Xerox get passed from pillar to post. Brilliant.
Yep. Thanks so much!
