Xerox Black and White Conversion fails with AutoCAD raster image

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have an AutoCAD drawing with many lines, text, etc and two raster images (company logo's). When I print from AutoCAD the CTB (AutoCAD print settings file) converts all linework to Black, but it cannot make the images black/gray. Because I want to print many copies cheaply, I want these to be black&white prints. So I thought using the 'Xerox Black and White Conversion' checkbox would solve my problem, but it doesn't. The prints still come through with black linework, but the raster images continue to print in color even with the 'Xerox Black and White Conversion' checked.

Suggestions?
