Re: Xerox C60 in standalone print environment

Hello stnPRINT,

I have searched the documentation and have not been able to find an answer. I would recommend at this point you call the Customer Support Centre at 1-800-821-2797 and ask to speak with a 2nd Level Analyst.

Thanks,

Xerox C60 in standalone print environment

Product Name: Xerox Color C60/C70
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

Hello - we have a C60 which runs in a Fiery EFI environment.

The other day the powersupply went pfffffft in the Fiery and whilst we waited 24hrs for a replacement there were the inevtiable jobs that couldnt wait so we thought we would run direct from USB using the MEDIA PRINT TEXT facility.

Nothing complex as we delayed awkward jobs but a couple of single sided so should be easy. Planned them up to a single sheet added manual crop/trims (manual imposition) and printed, went to trim and noticed something odd but thought i had miscalculated.

Ran some A4 proofs and for some reason the A4 was enlarged to fit the A3 page (fit to print area??), couldnt see a setting so put the A4 in the centre of an A3 page and this printed fine, went to trim and then noticed that that also was not the actual size and the 210mm width had been reduced to 204mm.

So the question is . . . is there somewhere to switch this enlarge/reduce off so that it prints actual size or is this a "feature" of the c60.

Again we usually use DFE so never come in contact with printing direct and our engineer is the same they only use DFE and could offer no solution we went through the manual and online service and cannot find anything mentioned it just seems a very odd thing for it to do.

As a postscript note, we also backsaved a couple of pdfs so that they had properties which meant they initially opened actual size, view 100% just in case the C60 took its magnification from "fit to page" but that didnt solve anything either. Obviously we are now back to DFE but it would be interesting to hear or know others thoughts on this - thanks in advance
