It has been two weeks since I updated the firmware and it still holding up with out any failures. thanks for the help
Try upgrading to the firmware level linked here. It should solve the issue assuming it is SNMP or the sleep bug causing the freeze.
I am having the same problem with it hanging and the only way to fix it is to por it. it will do this a few times a week sometimes it would hang on a job and other times it whould have finish a job and say "Ready for Print" and hang and not go into sleep mode. I have a 8570DN. I have a GB backbone with a Netgear R7800 router along with Netgear click switches I have both iMac OSX 10.11.5 and Windows 10 pro systems with the latest drivers.
Hey you!
If the printer does not freeze when the ethernet is unplugged, then it must be something on the network, I could be as simple as a typical job being sent to the printer that the printer does not recognize, you could change the font settings and see if that helps.
If you do have a print server, try this:
Start -> (Settings ->) Printers and Faxes -> Printing Preferences -> Advanced.
change “TrueType Font” to “Download as Softfont” and “Truetype Font Download Option” to
“Download as Bitmap”.

Hello,
I have a Colorqube 8570 that will randomly hard freeze while it is connected to the network via an ethernet cable. When it freezes it hard freezes and must be power cycled to return to normal operation. I have only ever observed it in a frozen state while it was also in sleep mode. For reference, it is a fairly large network that this printer is connected to. Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?
Thanks
