When trying to print from any computer to the DocuColour 252 jobs just seem to go missing. Sometimes it can take 4 or 5 attempts at printing before the job will actually print. There doesn't seem to be any errors and it appears as though the printer doesn't even detect that a job was sent to it. When printing to any other printer it always works fine.
The driver was just reinstalled and it's version 11.1.2527.0
Any ideas as to what might be causing this problem. It's not recent, it's been an issue for a long time. I'm not even sure if it's ever worked properly.

I can't figure out what product you have from that driver version.
Is it a Freeflow? Fiery? Splash? Creo?
For Fiery it needs to be printing via IP address , using LPR, queue name is "print" LPR Byte Counting is not on, SNMP status is enabled.
For Freeflow use the same as the Fiery but go to the freeflow webui, select the Job Submission icon and get the proper queue name from there <Case sensitive>
For Creo Just click Start > Run and type \\IPaddressOfPrinter , then right click the desired queue and choose Connect to install it.
As for jobs disappearing, your OS does not allow for that, both Windows and OSX will either hold the job in their own queue, or send it somewhere, if they don't receive a successful repose back from the location they send it, they will display an error soon after it leaves. All 4 RIP's will have received it, but all 4 may not print it. If you have the wrong, or an incompatible driver the job may not be able to print, if that occurs they each will place it differently.
The Fiery will dump it into the Printed Queue. In Command Workstation it will show as red, and when you double click it, it will state why it failed.
For Freeflow and Creo you would need to go to those devices, if you have one and need guidance on those please just reply with what you have as I don't have the time it would take to physically go to those devices, replicate an issue and screenshot them to bring back to my PC and post here if they are totally un-needed.
Thank you for your response. It is the Fiery driver that we're using. I checked the Port settings and noticed a few were incorrect so I have adjusted them (the Protocol was set to Raw, I have changed it to LPR and added the queue name and selected SNMP Status Enabled). I also checked the "What's Printing" to see if any documents showed in there as printing or an error etc and it's blank (I just sent a print request as well as a test page and nothing happened with either of them).
I then logged into the Fiery Command Workstation and I don't see any errors there either. The job I sent doesn't appear in the list. The last job showing is from yesterday morning and there are no errors that I see.
I'm not sure what is wrong but I just sent another print request and nothing happened. It often takes 4 tries to get something to print and I don't see any errors.
That is exactly what happens in the case of a duplicate IP address. I'm fairly sure if you open the command prompt on your PC and type ping 192.168.1.100 -t and replace the IP with that of your Fiery, it will get a response, and continue to do so after you go unplug the network cable from the Fiery.
If that is the case, somebody needs to find the device somebody added to the network. I'm guessing the most likely device is a tablet or phone on wifi, which explains why it works and stops on its own.
If you have an Android device in house, try the app Fing, it should map the network and give you an idea of what has the IP.
If that is not the issue, try importing a pdf into Command Workstation via File > Import Job if it works that way you know the queues are not corrupted. At that point you would probably need a wireshark trace of the LAN during a print to see where it is getting to after it leaves the PC.

I pinged the IP of the copier and it was going through fine. As soon as I unplugged the network cable it said "Destination Host Unreachable". As soon as I plugged it back in it started working again.
Next I tried your suggestion of importing the job into the Command Workstation as a test but the "Import Job" option under "File" is greyed out. Any suggestions to fix that so I can do this test?
So the option suddenly appeared and I imported it. It printed just fine. I will get someone to run a trace to see if they can locate the problem in the network.

You have to be logged in as administrator to select it. It also has to be a pdf to import it. See if you can print a config sheet. You may have corrupt Fiery software that has to be reloaded.
It's working now! Checked everything and swapped out an ethernet cable and it seems to be working consistantly now.

I was wrong, still having the problem, but it's not quite as bad as before. I just printed a batch of 31 documents and it skipped 7.
I have noticed in the Fiery Command Workstation that any document that doesn't print does appear, but it shows "0" under "Pages" instead of the actual page count. When printing on a Canon copier (it uses different drivers obviously, but the computer, network and everything else involved is the same) it prints perfectly. It's only ever a problem with this Xerox copier.
Any other ideas?
