The PS drivers are working like a champ on both my Xerox and HP printers.
Thank you EdG-Xerox for the answer and thank you Xerox for the GPD drivers.
Fabio: The 6360 printer propeties in Windows was set to print to any tray. I changed the setup on the Windows properties to print to Tray 2 only but it still sends the print job to Tray 1.
EdG-Xerox: There really wasn't any reason for not using the PS drivers other than tradionally I have always used the PCL ones. I will give it a try though. I have a mixed printer environment of Xerox and HP printers and am hoping to go to one print driver for the lot. I'll let you know how it goes though.
Is there a reason why you did not try the GPD PS Driver? The Phaser 6360 Has a true Adobe PS Rip and it is the Reccomended printing Language. The PCL Driver is not fully featured like the PS driver. Hope this Helps.
maybe your page setup in word or ... is setup for tray 1 ? page setup always overrules print settings...
I've got it working - sort of. It turns out the Phaser 6360 does not support PCL6 printing which is what the newest GPD uses. I downloaded the GPD PCL5 version and the Phaser is printing fine. However, there is now a different problem using the GPD PCL5 driver. When a print job is sent to the printer, it is now automatically sent to Tray 1 even though the printer is set to use any tray available. Tray 1 is the fold out tray and is not typically used. If the setting is changed on the printer to default to only Tray 2, it still try's to print to Tray 1 and then the print job sits in the printer queue until someone puts paper in Tray 1.
is the machine accepting the print? is it in any error state?
I cannot get the Xerox Phaser 6360 to print using the Xerox Global Printer Drivers (PCL6 or the PCL6 V2.1). I can see the document go into the print queue and then depart but it is never printed by the printer. The 6360 has the most recent firmware and the computer OS is Vista. Interesting thing is the GPD driver works great with my HP printers and a Xerox DocuColor 252 printer. Anybody have any suggestions on how I can troubleshoot it?
