I have setup a Xerox Phaser 3320 which prints successfully over a network on TCP port 9100.
Everything works fine except after every print job a "Xerox Printer Status" error message is displayed on the client machine stating "The Port is not connected".
I have two questions :
1. What port is it referring to ? I only have TCP 9100 enabled and that's all I want.
2. How can I stop it displaying this error message after every print job ?
Thanks very much !
Checked with wireshark and it was UDP 161 / SNMP.
After enabling this on the printer it doesn't complain anymore.
Would be nice to stop the client running an SNMP check after every print job though...
