Thank you very much! I didn't have all the options as seen in your picture however I did have the option for advance printing features and it was enabled. I disabled that and voila, it worked!

Sounds like a transparency issue, Printers have a terrible time understanding something is there that shouldn't be seen.

Adobe fixed the issue by creating pdf/x. PCL has no such ability.

Again, Adobe also has Print as image that fixes the issue, so if an Adobe application, go to File > Print > Advanced and you should find a Print as image option, this will flatten every job so that improperly embedded fonts and transparencies cannot cause issues.

Driver side you are fairly limited, and since I can't know what file type you have, what Application they use, I can only give suggestions.

But I would suggest printing a job that will fail, multiple times in a row, changing the highlighted options one-at-a-time until the problem hopefully goes away.

Remember the one that works and go to Start > Devices and printers right-click the driver and go to Printing Preferences > Advanced

If your device has a PS interpreter, grab the PS driver, it will have better output than PCL in 99% of cases.

Xerox Phaser 3635MFP Printing Black Boxes?

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello all. We have a printer that seems to be acting up. When printing items that contain a table of some sort the table will print in a solid black format. You cannot come close to reading anything in the table. The issue only seems to be happening (right now) to one user. The issue was happening to another user in which case it was her email. In that case, the header in the email was being completely blacked out.

We have switched the driver as it was set to Xerox Global Print Driver PCL6. It is now set to PCL. This fixed the issue with the email header printing in solid black but the other user still has the issue when trying to print any sort of table. The cover page for these tables prints just fine. We have tried to remove and re-add the printer in his devices and printers and that did nothing either. The current driver version we are using is 5246.700.0.0.

Does anyone have a fix for this? At this point the user is printing to a different printer which will work for now, but cannot be a permanent solution.

Computer is running Windows 7 x64.

Printer driver is Xerox Global Print Driver PCL version 5246.700.0.0
