Re: Xerox Phaser 6360 not printing the correct color

Cleaning the Imaging Unit
1. Open Door A and Door C.
2. Remove the Imaging Unit and place it rollers-up on a stable surface.
3. Working quickly to reduce light exposure, clean each rubber roller of
foreign matter using a lint-free cloth. Thoroughly clean the entire surface
of each roller by rotating the roller using the grey thumbwheel.

Cleaning the Developer Assemblies
1. Open Door A and Door C.
2. Remove the Imaging Unit and place it light-proof container.
3. Using a flashlight, inspect each Developer Roller and gap between each
Developer Assembly. Items, such as foam, paper debris, or hair, can
cause print quality defects. Using tweezers, carefully remove any such items.

To clean the laser window you will need to remove several parts, as this is behind the Developer.

I strongly recommend having someone out to look at the machine for that.

When it comes to lasting, they can be damaged even with low amount of pages.

Re: Xerox Phaser 6360 not printing the correct color

Sorry to rely again, but with the imaging unit and the developer unit, should they last more than 10,000 pages even though the machine is only 2.5 years old?

Re: Xerox Phaser 6360 not printing the correct color

Hi Kimzi,

thanks for your prompt info.  Yes, I did the calibration and to be honest with you I think it might be the laser unit but unfortunately I would have no idea how to clean it.  Is there any instructions that you know of that could guide me through it.

Thanks again JOY

Re: Xerox Phaser 6360 not printing the correct color

Hi again, Joysey!

Before you do anything try calibrating colors by following THIS.

To me it looks like yellows are missing completely on the second image.

As you've already changed the toners to new ones, I would suggest you check the user manual when it comes to cleaning the machine.

Try cleaning the imaging unit / drum (also try replacing if this has not been done for a while) and the developer unit and see if that helps.

And if you know what you're doing you can also clean the laser unit.

Re: Xerox Phaser 6360 not printing the correct color

Hi Kimzi,

Sorry I didn't see your reply sooner. I've taken the picture.  As you can see the color is now washed out.  All the Cartridges are brand new, genuine, and come from Xerox. This is the 2nd 6360 printer that has done this to me. I bough the 1st one refurbished so I thought that was the problem so thats why I purchased a brand new one after that happened not expecting it to do the same thing after only 10,000 pages.Xerox pic.JPG If you have any ideas or suggestions PLEASE let me know. Thanks.

Xerox Phaser 6360 not printing the correct color

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have a Xerox Phaser 6360 that has only done 10,169 pages and the colors are totally washed out.  Xerox was absolutely no help at all when I phoned them because it was out of warranty.  The machine was purchased brand new in September of 2011 and like I said it has only done just over 10,000 pages so why would it stop printing pictures without the correct color.  If someone has any suggestions they can offer I would be grateful.
