Hello John,
I was reading through your previous posts regarding setting the default printing color to black and white through the driver. Well. it doesn't work. My Phaser 8650 continues to say it's out of yellow ink!!!
I'm on Win 10 Pro 64bit. Please advise.
Thank you,
Paul
Hello jsmall100,
Have you checked your ink levels to make sure that you have enough ink in each color? Make sure that the ink sticks aren't jammed because sometimes they can get stuck. If you have enough ink and the sticks are feeding all of the way down into the reservoir and therefore, melting properly, then you should run the Light Stripes test and cleaning one or two more times. If that still doesn't work, then you can run the Advanced Light Stripes cleaning which is all written up in the Phaser 8560 Knowledge Base. If all of that fails, please let us know if you can print or copy anything at all from your machine. There are internal reports that you can try. Can you copy from the DADF? By the way, are you turning your printer off at all? With the solid ink printers, you do not want to turn off the machine if you do not have to. That will allow the ink to cool and harden. Then when you turn the printer back on, it will run a cleaning process and chew through your ink sticks rather quickly. So, please don't turn the machine off if you don't have to. Let it go into sleep mode instead. Please post back and let us know what happens.

Hello and good day! I don't know what I did wrong! I was having light stripes issues and i did the basic cleaning procedure. I wiped off the maintenance kit and some residual ink that was on the metal roller accessed through the top panel. Now the printer will not print anything at all. There was some smudging that appeared after and I did the cleaning test for that and now that's all gone. What did I do?
Thank you,
Jeremy
