Understanding the codes are the key in looking them up. You need to omit the last bit of the number, in this case it is the 67191, all that part is, is the number of impressions done when the fault occurred (so you got a 09,005.40 fault when printing the printers 67191 pages total). You will probably need to source a service manual to fix this one, or pay someone to do so, it is way too involved to be done on a forum
Problem: fault 09,005.40
Cause:The Cyan ink-melt heater is on but ink does not seem to be melting.
TRY FIRST (Solutions without parts):
1. The cables to I/O boards and Power Control boards may not be seated
properly or lose. - Verify heater cables are seated correctly and cables
are not frayed/shorted.
TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS AND HINTS:
The Cap/Wipe/Purge may be bad or the Low Voltage power supply may be
blown.
PARTS:Parts are listed in the order of highest probability for
repair.
REPAIR/INSPECT/PREVENT PROCEDURE:
1. Clean pick rollers only when ink or debris is visible.
2. Clean feed rollers, exit rollers and guides only when
ink or debris is visible.
3. Inspect cap/wipe/purge gasket and wiper blade.
4. Check for cooked or discolored inks; if necessary, flush
out ink.
5. Inspect and clean the drum maintenance blade and the
rapid release guide. Check print quality; if necessary,
perform clean for light stripes.
6. Check cleanliness of interior and exterior of printer,
including fans; if necessary, clean (dust or vacuum) these
areas.
Dear,
as i could not resolve the issue, i've tried to move the printer out of the network and connect it directly to a computer, see if that worked.
Now i always get the error that the ink-loader doesn't work and i have to open-close it.
When i do, the system reboots and then i get the error: 09,005.40:67191. Which i can't find nowhere what it means.
I can't even get my printer started anymore... can someone please help?
Hello Timo.
Thank you for using the forum.
Please check if you can access CentreWare Internet Services, the web page of the printer. If you can’t, then you’re looking at some sort of networking problem and may need to check your network connection, cables, and possibly reset the printer. If you can get to the web page, browse to the Print tab, and select file download. Then submit a basic .txt or .pdf file and it should print. If so, then you’re looking at a driver configuration issue.
If you have SNMP Status disabled it could possibly cause this problem. Optimally, you will want to have SNMP Status enabled with the community name set to public and the device index set to 1.
Please try this as well as the above.
Hi Everyone.
Our printer here (Xerox Phaser 8860) was working fine till a little time ago.
Now we cannot print on it anymore.
We receive the next errors:
- Printer Xerox Phaser 8860 cannot be contacted over the netwerk
- Resource (192.168.0.104) is online but isn't responding to connection attempts.
I can ping the printer, i've updated the drivers, installed the Global driver of Xerox and checked if the SNMP Status was unchecked (which is).
But i still cannot print anything.
Does someone know what i can do?
It's a network printer btw.
Thanks
