Re: Xerox Printer Drivers on a server reset themselves to defaults

Hi!

Do you use Microsoft Dynamics GP?

Have you tried adding them both through GPO and manually on the terminal?

Could it be a logon script resetting the settings or similar?

Best Regards

Xerox Printer Drivers on a server reset themselves to defaults

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi,

I hope someone can point on the right track. We have a printserver where we installed a Xerox 7220 using Global Driver (X-GPD_5.404.8.0_PCL6_x64).

I have configured three print queues, where I have configured the following on General -> Settings and Advanced -> Printing Defaults

xxx_col_1 (tray 1 - A4 sized paper)

tray1.PNG
xxx_col_1_a3 (tray 3 - A3 sized paper)
tray3.PNG

And a third setting the same way for Tray 2.

I have added the printers on the terminal server using GPO, I have manually mapped them from our printserver but the problem stay the same.

Our problem is that randomly our printing defaults revert to "printer defaults" and hence printing is sent to a random tray.

Picture below should have Tray 1 selected. If I refresh the "Devices and Printers" window our settings is applied for a few minutes until it reverts again.

Our setup is as follows: 2012R2 Printserver, 2012R2 Terminal Server

We did not have this problem using Windows 2008R2 printserver and terminal server.

Any suggestions, or better yet any solutions would be much appreciated
