Nothing in this post at all applies to a Mac.
Go to Xerox.com and download and install the Mac driver, follow the instructions to install it. If you have an issue doing that, make a post explaining what issue you ran into and what version of OSX.
Don't use a V4 driver at all, but if you must, make sure you install the app for each manufacturer that you use for V4 drivers, in the case of Xerox machines, that would be the Xerox Print Experience App
And again, if you must use a V4 driver, for any reason, do not pick the printer from the list, choose the Wasn't listed option and do it manually (WSD ports are the devils work and should not be trusted)
V3 driver is more reliable, but again, don't pick the printer from the list.
For Administrators is just lingo for "Install manually, as opposed to the drivers with an installer (.exe files)
I have setup a USB connection to the Xerox Versalink B405 and used the PCL6 Print Driver for Administrators to install the print drivers.
I am looking for the best way to setup duplex printing or be able to change that setting in a non-adminsitator Winows user enviroment.
What we keep running into is printing is fine for a day or so, and sproatically when the user prints a document it prints the typcial crazy symbols followed by several blank pages.
Ultimately looking for details on how to setup the printer the right way to support changing/enabling/disabling 2-sided printing on this printer. (From the standard user account, not local/doman admin account)
USB connection
driver/driver package:
PCL6 Print Driver for Administrators
Connected (not shared) via USB Cable to Winows 10 Pro laptop
