Re: Xerox WC 57XX Firmware Problem

thank you very much for helping to resolve my issue,  Actually I don't have any thing related to the copier, in SIM port and tray all are empty.

Purchaised this machine from local refurbished machine dealer this, he is also not having the SIM and related cd files with him.

is there any other way to restore the machine, and also I tried to reach XEROX India by referring the machine serial number, they are not recognising the machine(invalid serial CODE - 3905915087)

I have attached the screen shorts of the error and machine details.

Re: Xerox WC 57XX Firmware Problem

You cannot restore it, you did an Altboot. You now need your SIM, or to buy another SIM.

If it isn't in the printer or the SIM storage area in the tray, try finding the documentation and CD's etc etc that came with the device.

Re: Xerox WC 57XX Firmware Problem

Hi I have tried the methods you mentioned above to upgrade firmware,

in xerox WC 7535, now its getting ERROR 341.371.00 SIM Insertion Required,

I didnot find the sim card in the port and also in tray storage area.

Re: Xerox WC 57XX Firmware Problem

A complete Alt-Boot using DISABLE_DATA_BACKUP and FORCED_UPGRADE should be used to completely wipe the machine clean for a full reload.
a. The Forced Altboot method is done with a USB.
b. On the root of the USB should be a folder called altboot
c. Then inside that folder should be the following

dd.png

d. Power off the printer, plug in USB, Power on printer. Follow instructions.

USB should be FAT32 (Not NTFS). Create the 2 files with Windows notepad and save with no file extension. Grab the Software file from Xerox.com and just extract the bin file , don't use the zip
