We are using the PCL driver and I have also tried with the PCL 6 driver. The Black and White drivers being deployed by Group Policy are fine for everyone. The issue is with some of the local driver instances being used for colour prints. Once again, it's fine on 90% of the endusers. There are only a few that are unable to change the configurations on this local driver.
are you using the global drivers? i think you driver doesnt recognize the model or it isnt properly configured... i think your driving is in basic mode , that means only BW
Didn't set any ldap groups. Installed it as a local Printer on the Print Server and changed some of the parameters to what we'd like the defaults to be (Location, Name, 2 sided print and Black and White colour options)
All users in our company are having a default Black and White Xerox printer installed by Group Policy. These are installed with the configurations we set for that Printer on the Print Server and the configurations cannot be changed by the end user… these seem to be going fine!
Colour Printers are to include user id and password to allow and track colour prints. As per Xerox instruction they are installed manually using a local TCP/IP port created with the IP of the printer. This work great on most but I am encountering a hand full of users with the following colour options being set to Black and White and are locked from being changed to colour therefore preventing colour printing.
The OS on all PC's is Windows 7 Enterprise x86 or x64.
The Printers are Xerox WorkCentre 7535.
