Re: Xerox WorkCentre 3325 legal, letter, and envelope printing...... HELP?

No idea on Quickbooks, but in Word, and most of the MS Office suite, choose the printer and go to Page Layout > Arrow > Paper

Default tray (Auto Select) won't work

Auto Select should work

Tray 2 absolutely will work

By default , the first one is selected, no matter what you do in the driver it will pick tray 1

The 2nd one picks whatever tray has the paper or the one selected in the driver.

The 3rd one doesn't care what is chosen anywhere, it will just print to tray 2 or fail the job.

Ok, so if I'm in for the 3325, and I bought the $200 extra tray for legal, and I'm printing out of Microsoft Word or QuickBooks and need to do legal, What procedure or settings should I use to proceed with this task, instead of pulling the letter tray and letting it default to legal?

I can't find Mixed Media as being an option in the specs, at the copier or in any driver that supports the device, so it does not support one job with multiple tray calls (Mixed Media) So since it has no official support for it, you are likely to only be able to do so with Acrobat/Reader.

If it did support it, you would have a Special Pages option in the Document Options tab.

Like this where you can add Covers, inserts and Exception pages.

But since the 3325 doesn't support it, it has no option in the driver to do it, the whole option is removed.

You may be able to get mixed media running from Acrobat/Reader though, as long as the document is indeed properly setup and you can see the legal/letter sizes properly in the preview window.

The output is not in any way guaranteed by Xerox, but it usually works well enough.

Xerox WorkCentre 3325 legal, letter, and envelope printing...... HELP?

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

System is installed as a wifi network resource in small two user peer to peer office. Both workstations running Windows 10 Home, both installed with original software CD included with system. 3325 has additional secondary large tray as Tray 2, loaded and configured for Legal paper. Tray 1 is loaded and configured for letter paper. bypass is configured for #10 Envelope.

When printing a multipage contract with both letter and legal pages in it, legal does not print properly. If a Legal PDF is attempted to print, it prints out letter. Client is pulling out the Tray1 tray prior to printing, forcing the system to pull from Tray 2. Something is definitely wrong.  Please advise as to what steps are necessary to make this thing print the way it's supposed to.  If the contract has 4 pages of legal and followed with 5 pages of letter, it should print that pulling from the respected trays accordingly, without the client having to pull tray to force it to select the other one.

I've checked all tray connections, settings, unloaded/reloaded the trays, and yet it still does not perform properly. Frustrating as hell. I look forward to a simple fix, and thank you in advance for the help and patience in this matter.

Sincerely,

Mike Sereg
