The Xerox 7830 refuses to print my Publisher 365 document which is a 4-up postcard, front and back. "Waiting for printer to respond: XRX9C934E54CF59" and it never responds. Other folks here at the church are printing to the 7830 just fine. Word 365 prints to it just fine for me. What am I overlooking?
I can export it to PDF and that prints fine.
Thanks,
Lisa
Seems pretty clear the issue is Publisher since the driver and printer are working with everything else.
You could disable the ability for it to communicate with the printer by disabling SNMP and Advanced Printing features in the printers driver properties.
No idea if it will work though, my Publisher works fine on Win 10
Joe:
My printer properties is different than yours. I cannot find where to disable the SNMP. I am running Windows 10 Pro.

Go to Xerox.com and get a Xerox driver, preferably a Postscript V3
You are selecting properties. You need to select printer properties (about halfway down)
Properties versus Printer Properties!! Duh--on my part! Thanks for clarifying.
Unfortunately, your suggestion did not help my issue. Darn.
Thanks anyway,
Lisa
Make sure you are printing to ip port under ports and not windows WSD protocol
DavidX28897-rxr:
Could you help out an old lady and tell me how I check which port I'm printing to?
Thanks,
Lisa
Open the Windows Control panel and select Devices and printers
Right-click the printer and choose Printer Properties (Not "Properties")
Select the Ports tab. It should not be a WSD port, if it is, you would need to create a new one as TCP/IP. The basic settings are here in the post above
Looks like it's already an TCP/IP port...
