I was just thinking the same thing with you. Any other has the same issue?
That's what I was thinking. Just hoping someone had a solution before having to recreate the printer on the server.
Use v3 drivers, v4 is a dead on arrival tech started in Win8, it never caught on.
v4 cannot be run on Win 7 so what you get client side is the Windows generic interface.
I installed 2 new printer drivers on a Windows 2012 R2 server; WorkCentre 7530 V4 PCL6 & PS; WorkCentre 6605DN V4 PCL6. I can share out the printers, attach and print. But when I go to change the printer defaults, it shows a screen like this
But, on the server when I go to change printer defaults, it looks like this
I know it says 2 different printers in the pictures, but all of the printers do it regardless. The biggest issue is the top picture has very limited functionality. Each of them is going through the Microsoft Enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver. The machines are Windows 7 x64. Any help would be appreciated.
