Re: Xerox Workcentre 7855 - Autorotate

A4 LEF and SEF - Why are they different?
Besides the obvious dimensions change, the machine can't offset some paper in LEF when it can in SEF. It also cannot ever fold LEF stocks. If there are mixed sizes involved it also can't do it if they don't share the same feed edge size. There are other reasons, but those are the main ones.

I have everything LEF and someone prints (or Adobe defaults to) SEF

Adobe doesn't default to anything, it takes everything from the document size, so if it is A4SEF, that will be its default, it is a per document thing.

What I need is for the printer to recognise that is has the right paper loaded but in the wrong orientation, and auto rotate accordingly.

Acrobat/Reader does this here by itself.

Unless you have negated everything in the application and or driver by selecting this option (Do not check this box)

Then you can do this so you don't need to resend the job if it doesn't work automatically.

Xerox Workcentre 7855 - Autorotate

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Sorry if this is an old subject - A4 LEF and SEF - Why are they different?

I have everything LEF and someone prints (or Adobe defaults to) SEF and I get resources error - paper not loaded.

What I need is for the printer to recognise that is has the right paper loaded but in the wrong orinetation, and auto rotate accordingly. Not a work arround or "make sure you print to the correct orientation" or have both SEF and LEF loaded.

Please can anyone help - this is beyong frustrating!!

Many thanks.

(and if not then if anyone can find a way of making Adobe acrobat default to LEF, that might do it)
